ONE DAY!
Trojan Horse - by Douglas Bevans and many more
Burning Man 2011 - Rites of Passage
This beautiful beast was 50 feet tall, weighed 28 tonnes and was delineated in red neon at nighttime, making it look more like a horse from Tron than from Troy. It was our homing beacon from deep on the playa; ride towards the horse with the darkness at your back and you could always find your way home. Three days after this photo was taken, once the sun had set, and following the most specatular fireworks display I’ve ever seen, the horse burned in a gorgeous and hot column of flame. At sunrise, the 7ft wheels were still smouldering, they’d barely even begun to lose their shape.
